History of IPC Nedumbassery is as follows: - Bro. A.T.Varghese from Bangalore IPC and Bro. V.J.Paulose from Idukki Church Of God decided to form a small prayer fellowship at Nedumbassery with the advice of Pastor.Raju John,thus a new worshipping center under IPC was started at K.S.E.B quarters,which was the residing place of Bro.V.J.Paulose on june 1st 1979, with the grace of god almighty,at Nedumbassery. It was indeed a new beginning. There were no such missionaries or missionary activities before in this place. Pastor V.K.John, who was the father of Pastor. Raju John,took the responsibility as the first Pastor of the church.He spread the Pentecostal message in and around Nedumbassery. Bro. A.T.Varghese, Bro.V.J.Paulose, Bro.C.C.John, Bro.Chandy, Bro.Kunjutty were the initial members of this congregation. The group continued to meet regularly and as time passed by people from various Christian denominations, who made personal commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and having belief in the Pentecostal experience of baptism of the Holy Spirit, came in large numbers. The new gathering is started at K.S.E.B quarters was later shifted to a rented building at kariyad junction and then on to Bro. V.J.Paulose’s own house. During the ministry of Pastor. Mathew Samuel in 1991, around 10cents of land was brought for the local church with the financial support of Bro.V.J.Paulose (Velikakth Bethel).A hall and parsonage were built in this land with the constant efforts and prayers of Pastor.Mathew Samuel and various other God loving people. God bestowed His profound mercy in all these activities. The hall was wholly dedicated for the service of God in 1994 by Pastor.T.C.Easow , District Minister Ernakulam at that time. After this the church had a tremendous growth. God’s intervention was visible in every step. Everyone who came to the church wanted to glorify the name of God. The number of believers increased to above 40. On the forthcoming years, a number of blessed ministers served in this church. During the service of Pastor.Thomas. V. Abraham, an expansion work progressed with the financial support and prayers of Bro.Biju Paulose (Aliyattukudy ) and several other firm believers of God. A baptistery was also constructed at one end of the land.With God’s grace and blessings, the expansion work of the hall was completed and it was dedicated by Pastor. K.C.Samuel,District Minister Ernakulam on March 22nd 2014 at 10am.
